Sonic the Hedgehog Motion Picture!!
It's official, now. A full-lenght CG movie, titled "Sonic the Hedgehog", is beign prepared! Filming is set to begin May this year, so if everything goes well, we might enjoy Sonic's big screen debut this year!!

However, nothing is known either about the cast (not 4Kids, PLEASE!) or story. Rumors of it are split between two possibilities: either something like Sonic SaTaM or Sonic The Hedgehog on X360 and PS3. I strongly support the latter and if it will be picked upm let's hope they'll change the moment of Sonic's revival and Amy will do it ;)))

I'll report as soon as anything develops.

New web sites!
Sorry for not working on TSC, even tough I am not interested in Sonic much, I will keep this site running somehow ;). Anyway web sites that are removed from our Affiliates list are:
Chao Network
Chao Web site
Dave's Sonic Site
Sonic Yoda
Sonic Domain
SP

Why? Because they deleted my button or web sites doesn't anymore. Anyhow, BYE BYE :). We should allow for new affiliates to join and that's what we would do. New Affiliates are:
Black Hero
Sonic Planet

That's it. Also thanks to other web sites who stayed with TSC.

2 Sonic games sighted!!
Soon after Sonic Riders 2 had been released, rumors have been flying around another Sonic Next-Gen title. Actually, there are 2...

The first, of which you probably heard, will be Sonic Chronicles: The Dark Brotherhood - an RPG by BioWare (Knights of the Old Republic) on Nintendo DS only

But the second Next-Gen title is something else.

After weeks of hype and hearsay, SEGA finally confirm the existance of Sonic Unleashed which will be released almost universally on all major platforms: XBox 360, Nintendo Wii, Playstation 3 AND PS2.

The game is set to use a new "Hedgehog engine" which will combine (as many have already seen) both 2D "classic" gameplay with rich new 3D environments. The aim of this is to amalgamate the new look of Sonic the Hedgehog with some older elements back from older Sonic titles. SEGA say "The Hedgehog engine will help re-define the gameplay experience for Sonic fans and newcomers to the franchise alike."

The premise of the story details Dr. Eggman breaking the world apart, and once again Sonic must retrieve the Chaos emeralds in order to piece it back together again. The Seven different continents of the shattered world look set to provide the different environments throughout the game.

The game will also offer differing gameplay in both day time and night time scenarios (as some of the leaked artwork has already hinted) and we can also expect "four new modes" to play in, as well as "new combat, movement and functional abilities."

Who knows what will come out of it? Let's hope that SEGA will do things right and make it better than Sonic The Hedgehog

Sonic Riders 2 is here!
The sequel to Sonic's 2006 air board racer is on it's way to retailers.
Sonic Riders: Zero Gravity is shipping for the Wii and PS2 today in the US, for an MSRP of $49.99.

Sonic Riders: Zero Gravity is the sequel to original Sonic Riders from 2006. This game, like the last, features a variety of characters from the Sonic-verse (as well as a few from other Sonic Team franchises) racing each other on upgradeable airboards called "Extreme Gear". This game changes things up, by replacing the air gauge from the original game with Gravity control. This new ability allows you to change the center of gravity on the course, turning what had once been a wall into a new track. This can be used to find shortcuts and get an edge on your opponent. The game features twice as many courses, 16 in all, as well as 18 character and sixty vehicles. It has three multiplayer modes: Free race, World Grand Prix, and survival. The Wii version also comes with a "ghost mode" which allows you to download ghosts of other players online that you can race on the course.

Sonic Riders: Zero Gravity should arrive in Europe sometime next month. We'll let you know when it ships.
